Pterothorax. Scutellum with middle of anterior edge broadly concave. Also. Tarsal claws with both basal and apical points on each side, without basal setae; bursa copulatrix with proximal sclerites bilobed (Fig. 142). Diagnosis is based on type species. Platynychus fuscipennis Candeze , 1860, and Platynychus incostatus Fleutiaux, 1931 have lateral carina of pronotum reaching only 9/10 to anterior edge of pronotum, and scutellum mesally notched.
