Species belonging to
Otiothops
differ from other Otiothopinae by having dense claw tufts on tarsi II–IV and closely spaced posterior median eyes (

). The genus is distributed from the West Indies and
Panama
to
Argentina
and
Uruguay
(except
Chile
) (

. 2013
