The NH specimens were captured in grasses, pine-oak barrens, and an abandoned beaver pond area; primarily taken by flight intercept traps. Collected in May ( 1 female ) and from July to October. Elsewhere found in hardwood forests: on human feces, on carrion of various animals (fish, bat, mouse), in malt trap, pitfall trap baited with soybeans, pitfall traps in oak-hickory forest, leaf litter, and sifting wood chips. Some were collected by sweeping broom sedge, in an ultraviolet light trap, and by treading mud on river ( Génier 1989 , Webster et al. 2009 , Brunke et al. 2012 ). Material.
