New data on recently described Chilean trophonines (Gastropoda: Muricidae), description of a new species and notes of their occurrence at a cold seep site Author Houart, Roland Author Sellanes, Javier text Zootaxa 2006 1222 53 68 journal article 50733 10.5281/zenodo.273425 9f5ac2e9-2f56-4555-a75c-f0b33f56a3ea 11755326 273425 Pagodula cf. concepcionensis ( Figs 20–21 ) Material examined R/V AGOR Vidal Gormáz, off Concepción, Chile , (Sta. AGT 1, 11/30/2003 ), 36°21.46’S , 73°44.08’W , 930m , 1 lv ( 21.13mm ) (RH). Remarks This species most strongly resembles P. concepcionensis because it also has a shouldered shell with similar axial lamellae ending as short open spines on P1, and a long, broadly open, siphonal canal. However, it differs in having a broader, more strongly shouldered shell with broader and slightly longer shoulder spines, and a comparatively broader siphonal canal. It is unclear whether it is just a form of P. concepcionensis or a distinct species.
