Species in the genus
Systole
are generally phytophagous, the larvae often feeding in
Apiaceae
seeds. This species is a likely host for some of the
Tetrastichinae
reared from seeds of
Foeniculum
during the present study which include unidentified species in the genera
Aprostocetus
and
Baryscapus
.
