It is common in Crimea and the Caucasus, known from Iran, Turkey and Middle Asia ( Zalesskaja and Schileiko 1991 , Zapparoli 2002 ). In the studied region, the species occurs almost exclusively in ecosystems with xerophytic sub-Mediterranean vegetation.
