Etymology.
The species epithet,

, is derived from the Latin noun
stella
, meaning star, and alludes to the pattern of spots on the femora.
Differential diagnosis.
This unique species is clearly segregated by having the femora yellow, the apical third reddish brown, and the surface densely covered with reddish brown discoidal spots; tibiae yellow with basal joint reddish brown and with two inconspicuous pale castaneous rings, one near middle third, the other at distal third; labial segments I and II yellow; and the hemelytral membrane reduced as small flaps reaching middle third of abdominal segment III.
