Widely distributed in the USA ( Beal 2003 ); in Canada recorded from the Northwest Territories , Alberta , Manitoba , Ontario , and Québec (Bousquet 1991). A synanthropic species associated with dried stored products and a pest in museums and insect collections. ( Mertins 1981 ).
