This
species is widely distributed in
North American
xeric regions and is a pollen specialist
on
Parkinsonia
L.,
Prosopis
L., and
Vachellia
Wight & Arn.
in the family
Fabaceae (
Fowler 2020
)
.
In
BCP
it had been collected in the
Lower
Colorado
Desert
,
Central Desert
, and
Gulf
Coast
regions.
We
reviewed
192 specimens
from the
BCP
(
CASC
). Additionally, the
BBPT
collected
seven specimens
in
La Giganta Ranges
and the Gulf
Coast
in March of 2021 (

). Voucher specimens are in
