(Puerto Bemberg, Misiones,

and Cufré,

).
Remarks.
Sanborn (2019a)
made
Carineta limpida
a junior synonym of
Carineta fasciculata
(
Germar, 1821
)
after locating Germar’s type specimen. As a result, the species is no longer an available representative of the
Uruguay
cicada fauna and the species is removed from the faunal list with previously identified specimens included in the discussion for
Carineta fasciculata
. The
holotype
female is deposited in the Fundación Miguel Lillo,
Tucumán
,
Argentina
and the
allotype
male (
Uruguay
specimen) and a
paratype
female are deposited in the the Museo de La Plata Entomological Collection (
Marino de Remes Lenicov
et al
. 2015
).
