Hlaváč det. 2000 (specific name and author in handwritten) / Lectotype ♂, Pselaphodes antennatus Bryant , des. Z.-W. Yin 2015 (handwritten)’. Lectotype designation. Bryant (1915: 299) described Pselaphodes antennatus based on the male sex only, but he did not mention the number of the specimens he examined nor did he explicitly fix a name-bearing type . With a possibility that other specimens may exist, the single male found in the BMNH is treated as a syntype . According to Article 74.7 of ICZN , the treatment in Hlaváč (2003b) of this male as the ‘holotype’ is considered a misuse of the term, and has no validation in type fixation. In order to ensure the stability of nomenclature and provide a unique name-bearing type for the name, we here designate this male as the lectotype (Recommendation 73F). Date of synonymy. In his 2003 publication, Hlaváč (2003a: 93) mentioned that the name Labomimus antennatus was placed as a junior synonym of Labomimus heterocerus (Raffray) in a revision in press, to be published in the 2002 volume of the Bulletin de la Société entomologique de France . Later in 2003, the revision was published, but without this synonymy established, only with a new combination, by moving this species from Pselaphodes to Labomimus ( Hlaváč 2003b: 286 ) . Since the name Pselaphodes antennatus was listed under Labomimus heterocerus in Hlaváč 2003a , and the author’s intention in synonymizing these two names was made clear, the 2003a work is considered the correct publication in which the synonymy was first established.
