Dimensions: “Longit. 32 millim.; latit. 7 millim.”; figured specimen herein H 31.4, D 14.3, W 5.9 . Type material: MHNG-INVE-64483, one paralectotype (Moricand coll.). Remarks: The type locality has been specified in d’Orbigny, 1837 [1834-1847]: 270 as “la rive sud du Rio de Santa-Lucia, dans les environs de San-Roque” (see Breure, 1973: 120 , fig. 8). According to Miquel (1989b: 76) this taxon does not occur in Argentina , but in Brasil . The lectotype is in the NHMUK (see Breure & Ablett, 2014 , also for other comments). Current systematic position: Bulimulidae , Drymaeus ( Mesembrinus ) oreades (d’Orbigny, 1835) .
