Diagnosis : A species only questionably placed within Limnocythere , as the internal shell characteristics are unknown. Carapace trapeziform in lateral view with roundish valve indentations in the area of the central muscle field above which there are additional indentations with irregular borders. Between these, but especially behind the valve indentations are flat, irregular valve swellings. Fine sculpture in the form of moderately distinct pits. Comparatively thick-shelled. Holotype : Carapace, BfB 7818. Paratypes : Not deposited. Dimensions: Holotype , length 0.51mm , width 0.20mm (no height given in original paper).
