According to the original description male

by cerci with a preapical tooth and a truncate subgenital plate with two strong spiniform teeth. However, fairly similar subgenital plates have the males of
V. multiramosa
and
V. zetterstedti
, and there is a considerable morphological diversity of male cerci in the genus, including multi-toothed tips (
V. f e s t a e
,
V. inversa
) and pre-apical processes (
V. zetterstedti
).
