Benthic Foraminifera from the Capricorn Group, Great Barrier Reef, Australia Author Mamo, Briony L. text Zootaxa 2016 4215 1 1 123 journal article 37169 10.11646/zootaxa.4215.1.1 0087fa4c-a4f0-45d9-a2de-d433d7885753 1175-5326 272923 B91D1782-C11A-4CDC-96B6-76104FEE51BD Cribroelphidium Cushman & Brönniman 1948 Cribroelphidium sp. cf. C . excavatum ( Terquem 1875 ) ( Fig. 24 :19, 20) Remarks. The distinct unkeeled periphery, inflated test with finely perforate walls, papillate ornament on the walls of the depressed sutures and sides of the sutural pits ( Fig. 24 :19, 20) indicates an affinity with C . excavatum . The acute peripheral edge is less common for this species however, and the small number of fragmentary tests available precludes a more definite species assignment. Distribution within study area. This species was collected from site 8 in One Tree Lagoon 1 and site 8 in Heron Lagoon with no more than two specimens per site.
