Additional type material was probably in the Douai Museum, which was destroyed during World War II ( Golding et al . 2007 : 25). Gaudion (1880: 39) gave the locality as Australia . No ampullariids are known from either New Zealand or Australia . Placed in Ampullaria by Woolacott (1945: 35) . The shells of MNHN 4625 match the original illustration well. Amphiboloidea; listed as Salinator quoyana but under species incertae sedis by Golding et al . (2007 : 25).
