Amaurobius arnozoi Mello-Leitão, 1924: 276 ( holotype from Alto Juruá ( 8°46’45”S 72°7’5”W ), Acre , Brazil , deposited at MNRJ, not found, lost before fire 2018); Bonnet 1955: 275 ; Silva-Moreira et al. 2010: 8 ; World Spider Catalog 2023 . Syn. nov. Goeldia patellaris : Lehtinen 1967: 236 (erroneously placed G. patellaris as synonym to G. obscura Keyserling, 1891 ). Goeldia arnozoi : Lehtinen 1967: 236 . Remarks. According to specimens examined, original description and drawing presented by Simon (1892 : pl. 9, fig. 8) G. patellaris presents a patellar apophysis similar to the one found on specimens from Venezuela . Lehtinen (1967) erroneously placed a specimen from Chile as part of the syntypes series of G. patellaris and used this specimen to justify the use of G. patellaris as a replacement name to G. obscura Keyserling, 1891 . We examined specimens from the type locality of G. arnozoi and concluded that this species is conspecific with G. patellaris . FIGURE 19. A–F. Goeldia patellaris ( Simon, 1892 ) . A–D.
