Material examined. PG : 2 males , 3 ovig. females ( ZUTC 6725 ), Abu-Musa I. , sandy/boulder shores, Coll. R. Naderloo and A. Dehghani , 10 Oct. 2017 ; GO : 2 males , 2 ovig. females ( ZUTC 6726 ), Chabahar Bay , Tis, under large rocks and coral rubble, Coll. A. Dehghani , 2 Oct. 2016 . Distribution. Indian Ocean: East Africa to Indonesia . Regional records. PG and GO : Iran (present study). Habitat. In crevices of massive dead corals, often in the lower intertidal to over 5 m deep. Remarks. This species is easily recognized by its thick rows of setae that obscure the mesial surface of the fingers of the minor chela (best seen in males, Fig. 1E ). Our specimens agree well with the description and illustrations of Banner & Banner (1982) . The only observed difference is in the length ratio of the segments of the second pereiopods. In the present specimens, the ratio is 10:6:2:2:6 [vs. 10:5:2:2: 5 in Banner & Banner’s (1982) specimens].
