TL: Nepal . TD: NHMUK. Material examined. CHINA , Yunnan : 1♂ , Mt. Ailao , Jingdong , 2476 m , 2.VII.2013 , leg. SR Liu et al. , slide No. ZXJ20107 ; Xizang : 1♂ 1♀ , Zhangmu Town , Nielamu County , 1961 m , 8.VII.2019 , leg. MJ Qi & JQ Deng , slide Nos. ZXJ20073 , ZXJ20109 . Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 1 ). Wingspan 30.5‒36.0 mm. Ethmia anatiformis is similar to E. maculata Sattler, 1967 . It can be distinguished superficially by the absence of a tadpole-shaped stripe on the fold of the forewing ( Fig. 1 ). The male genitalia can be distinguished by the uncus bifurcate in the distal 3/5, and the cucullus with a papillary dorsoapical process shorter than the ventroapical process ( Fig. 10 ). In E. maculata , the forewing has a tadpoleshaped stripe on the fold; the uncus is bifurcate in the distal 2/3, and the papillary dorsoapical process of the cucullus is longer than the ventroapical process ( Sattler 1967: 121 , fig. 60). Distribution. China ( Xizang , Yunnan ), Nepal . Notes. This species is recorded from China for the first time.
