Note: In the protologue, Linnaeus cited a Hermann polynomial published in a supplement by Burman (1737) . This polynomial and reference, written by Linnaeus, can be found annotating three specimens in Hermann's herbarium (vol. 4: 16, BM). They are clearly original material for Linnaeus' name and were treated as the type by Adamson.
