Lectotype of Sesleria orbelica (Velen.) Hayek (PRC 451941). Note :—Before giving the formal description, Deyl noted that there is a variety of S. orbelica growing on Pirin mt. in the Banderica valley, only on granite rocks ( Deyl 1946 ). Although in the protologue he did not mention the type of bedrock, in his introductory remarks, which can be considered to be part of the protologue (Rec. 8A.4 footnote, McNeill et al. 2012 ), he mentioned “ Habitat in montibus Pirin Planina in Bulgaria ”. We found two specimens in PR identified as S. orbelica var. pirinensis by Deyl, and one duplicate of the specimen in BP. One of these specimens from PR had calcareous bedrock on the label, but the plants growing on limestone in Banderica valley were described as S. klastersky Deyl (1946: 144) . The second specimen from PR, which clearly noted granite as the type of bedrock on which the plant was collected, is designated as lectotype , and the duplicate of this specimen in BP is an isolectotype .
