L . Blume 499 or 499 B ( L barcode L 0001255, restricted to the inverted flowering shoot mounted on the left side of the sheet). Notes:Sohmer (1988b) designated a specimen in the Leiden Herbarium as lectotype of P. sarmentosa . This sheet bears two original herbarium labels which both refer to [Mt] Gedé in Java . One is numbered 499 and the other 499 B . It is not clear if these represent different gatherings (no dates are indicated) or simply that Blume was preparing duplicate specimens. It therefore seems best to propose a second-step lectotypification. There is no indication as to which material on the sheet belongs to which label other than general proximity which may be misleading. As only one of the three shoots on the sheet bears flowers, this is designated as lectotype excluding the other two.
