REMARKS
The specimens analyzed were recorded as parasitic of urban trees. Both specimens were found in the anamorphous stage (
Ptychogaster cubensis
Pat.
) on
Fabaceae
(
Clitoria fairchildiana
, native species, and
Delonix regia
, exotic) (
Fig. 3
E-F). In the ITS phylogeny,
I. rickii
is closely related to
I. patouillardii
(
Fig. 2
), the latter being differentiated by minor and questionable morphological features (Gottleib
et al.
, 2002). They may represent the same species, however, sequencing either the
type
material or material from the
type
locality is desirable to confirm this hypothesis.
