Diagnosis.
Sclerotized arch on anterior margin of aedeagal sheath with posterior postgonite laterally on each side; anterior postgonites articulated to tips of arch and oriented inward; left, anterior postgonite longer, apically with small claw, and right one shorter, subapically with large hook (“Figs 14, 15” in
Gong
et al
. 2018
).
Supplementary description.
Supracervical setae 18–19. Dorsomedial, tentorial apodeme slightly longer than 1/2 basal, parallel portion of dorsolateral, tentorial apodeme. Arista with arb = 3/0; longest, dorsal branch longer than longest seta on pedicel; apical, leaf-like expansion narrower than long, apically tapering and with short, awnlike projection. Palpus with hollow-shaped sense organ (ch.9-2). Cibarial, medial sensilla 9–10 per side; posterior sensilla 5–7 per side. All tarsi entirely yellow. Abdominal sternites III and IV wider than long (ch.22,24-1), with dense setulae on medial surface (ch.26,27-1); III not wider than IV (ch.23-0); V without dense setulae on medial surface (ch.28-0). Setae on and/or near ventral margin of epandrium not denser than those on other portions (ch.32- 0). Surstylus with peg-like teeth (ch.37-0). Hypandrium symmetric (ch.40-0). Pregonite partly strongly sclerotized (ch.43-0), not serrated on ventrodistal portion (ch.50-0), with sensilla on submedial and basal portions (ch.52,53-1); apical knob with round barbule (ch.46,47-0); basal extension nearly rectangular to main body, apically narrowing (ch.49-1). Aedeagal, outer membrane ornamented with short, conical spines (ch.55-0, ch.56-1).
