Popenoe (1957 : 434) points out that Gabb's material from Bull's Head Point could represent a non-Cretaceous locality/horizon or be Paleogene material mixed with Gabb's Cretaceous specimens. Current taxonomic status. Biplica mathewsonii (Gabb, 1864) ( Popenoe 1957 ).
