Remarks.
The
three specimens
reported here represent the first records of
C. aequilonius
since it was first described, extending the known range south to the Chatham Rise. Among the three species of
Cymonomus
known from
New Zealand
,
C. aequilonius
is distinctive in its rostral length — longer than rather than distinctly shorter than the eyestalks.
