In Equatorial Guinea it has been recorded from Río Muni (close to Bata and Dijbloho) ( Iverson 1992 ; Luiselli et al. 2018 ; Rhodin et al. 2017 ) ( Map 2A ). Comments. The phylogenetic relationships of the genus Pelusios are discussed by Stuckas et al. (2013) . Pelusios niger is the sister lineage to P. cupulatta Bour & Maran, 2003 ( Stuckas et al. 2013 ).
