REMARKS
Hooker (1881)
in his ‘
Flora of British India
’ described
A. beddomei
based on the specimens collected from Western Peninsula by Beddome. We have traced three specimens in two herbaria, one at Kew Herbarium (K000898987) and two at Madras Herbarium (MH00104372, MH00104373!). The specimen K000898987 which is better preserved and contains annotations by J. D. Hooker is designated here as the lectotype of
A. beddomei
