Current status: Menacanthus eurysternus ( Burmeister, 1838 ) ; Price 1975: 619 , figs 1–9. Type host: Pastor roseus (Linnaeus) . Type locality: Faisalabad [as Lyallpur, Punjab ], Pakistan . Type material: Holotype female deposited in the NHML [slide NHML 010658175]. This slide contains two females, one of which is circled in black ink, presumably the holotype . The second female may be the paratype mentioned by Ansari (1951: 147) , but this is not written on the slide label, and Ansari does not mention on which slide the female paratype is mounted. The allotype male, listed as mounted on a separate slide by Ansari (1951: 147) , has not been found, and is presumed lost.
