Diagnosis
. The forewing length is 14.0–
15.5 mm
in males and 15.0–
15.5 mm
in females.
Dolgoma lata
sp. n.
is very similar to
D. nujianga
sp. n.
and differs only in the slightly more pinkish forewing ground colour. The reliable identification requires the examination of the genitalia structures. In the male genital capsule, the new species differs from the similar congener in the distally broader uncus, and the shorter and broader valva. The phallus of
D. lata
sp. n.
is considerably longer and broader than in
D. nujianga
sp. n.
Compared to
D. nujianga
sp. n.
, the vesica of the new species is markedly broader and has longer and broader diverticula. In the female genitalia,
D. lata
sp. n.
is distinguished from
D. nujianga
sp. n.
by the shorter apophysis anterioris, the noticeably shorter ductus bursae, the more weakly sclerotised lateral protrusion of the posterior section of the corpus bursae, the broader anterior section of the corpus bursae, and the somewhat longer appendix bursae with a larger diverticulum.
Distribution
. Northern
Vietnam
(border of
Lai Châu
and
Lào Cai
Provinces).
Etymology
. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin ‘lata’ meaning ‘broad’ and refers to the broad forewing of the new species.
