This 9.5 mm long species with testaceous appendages differs from all other Hong Kong Platynini in having the entire base of the pronotum punctured. Material : 2 exx. Hong Kong , Lantau, Mui Wo, 14.xii.10 , under stones and wood below previous nights high water mark in saltwater pools in reed bed; 2 exx. Hong Kong , Lantau, Mui Wo, 17.ii.12 , under rock in saline reed bed. Biology : Imago only recorded in the winter months though this may be due to observer bias. Under stones in tidal reedbeds
