Genus
Pseudacteon
Loew, 1857
The genus includes over 40 species from all over the world except for the Afrotropics. Females of
Pseudacteon
parasitize worker ants. Given the presence of a rich myrmecofauna in
Israel
(
Vonshak & Ionescu-Hirsch 2009
), an effort should be made to assess the true diversity of
Pseudacteon
, which may be reasonably high.
