This species is similar to S. carinatum sp. nov. , but may be readily distinguished by the metaventrite lacking mesal carina and by the coarse punctation on the mesal area of the abdominal ventrite I. The specimen possibly represents a new species. It is left unnamed in absence of knowledge of male characters.
