Description:—
Basidiomata
annual, resupinate, cottony, without odor or taste when fresh, becoming flocculent on drying, up to
7 cm
×
4 cm
(length × breadth), up to 300 µm thick.
Hymenial surface
smooth, white when fresh and drying.
Margin
sterile, fimbriate, white, up to
1.5 mm
wide.
Hyphal system
monomitic, generative hyphae colorless, thin
-
walled, bearing clamp connections, IKI–, CB–; tissues unchanged in KOH.
Subiculum
generative hyphae colorless, more or less interwoven, thin
-
walled, rarely branched, presence of encrusted hyphae, 2.5–5 µm in diameter.
Hymenium
cystidia and cystidioles absent;
basidia
pleural, clavate, with four sterigmata, and a basal clamp, slightly constricted in the middle to somewhat sinuous, 14–23 × 6–8µm; basidioles dominant, in shape similar to basidia, but slightly smaller.
