Maruina Müller, 1895 (Diptera: Psychodidae): description of four new species from Brazil, with revised diagnoses for the genus and subgenera Author Camico, Jéssica Luna Author Cordeiro, Danilo Pacheco Author Chagas, Cínthia text Zootaxa 2019 2019-08-08 4652 2 296 316 journal article 26054 10.11646/zootaxa.4652.2.4 c970d1ac-486d-4ba0-92dd-4d01f7eb9213 1175-5326 3363794 7D95D8FE-F8CE-475E-83E1-E5D0667B4A4E Maruina ( Maruina ) pilosella Müller nomen dubium Maruina ( Maruina ) pilosella Müller, 1895: 30 . Remarks. This species was designated by Enderlein (1936) as type-species of Maruina . The description of Müller (1895) lacks detailed morphological descriptions and illustrations, making it difficult to provide a diagnosis for this species. The material studied in the redescription provided by Barretto (1954) is currently the type material of M . ( M .) barrettoi , as discussed above ( Bravo 2005 ). The holotype of this species seems to be lost. Müllers’s illustrations of dorsal view of head and thoracic segments of the larva, detail of respiratory horn of pupa in three views, adult wing, and dorsal and lateral views of male genitalia could be able to help identify new material of this species, but type locality is not accurate. Type locality: probably Santa Catarina ( Hogue 1973 ) .
