Pessacq et al. 2012 : 4 (included in list of Brazilian Protoneuridae , new record for Brazil ). Specimens examined. 2♂ , 1♀. 1♂ , Brazil , Amazonas State, Borba, Jutaí, route BR 319, km 378 ( 04º23’16”S , 59º35’38”W ), leg. J. Becker, 3 xi 1977 . 1 ♂ 1 ♀, Brazil , Rondônia State, Pardo river and tributaries, 13 km NW of Fazenda Rancho Grande, 62 km SW of Ariquemes ( 10º50’S , 63º07’W ), RWG. Diagnosis. Male cercus resembles that of E. capilliformis . The cercus posses a well-developed inner-basal branch, with its apex directed posteriorly, reaching midline of S10. The epiproct ( Fig. 11 b–c) resembles that of E. tariana Machado, 1985 , but is short and its apex has two small rounded lobes joined at base that may represent two almost completely fused branches. See under E. tariana for further comments. The two lateral elongated L-shaped lobes on the genital ligula apex ( Fig. 28 ) differentiate E. lamina from all other species. The female posterior margin of pronotum ( Fig. 66 ) is unique in having a medial depression, thus resulting in two lateral lobes each with its inner apex rounded and divided by a small distance from each other. Distribution. Northwestern Brazil in the States of Amazonas and Rondônia and Guyana ( type locality Wismar, Guyana ). Notes. The present record for Rondônia represents a new record for that State.
