This species differs from other species of the genus by the following character states: 1) clypeus strongly projecting anteriorly, 2) clypeus separated from face by a distinct transverse groove, 3) occipital carina complete, 4) apical lateral fields of propodeum absent, 5) ovipositor up-curved.
