Subcapitular setae m with 5 tines. Setae vi distinctly wider than e2 . Setae e1 and f1 filiform. Distances c1-d1 and d1-d2 subequal. Vulvar region slightly ornamented in posterior part. Setae ps3 distinctly developed, slightly curved. Setae ag1 and ag2 subequal. Setae 1b and 1d slightly thicker than 1a . Setae 2a and 3a whip-like, much longer than 2b . Trochanter I with ventral projection, without tubercles. Measurements of paratype ( Fain & Lukoschus 1977 ): body, including gnathosoma, 450 long, 295 maximum wide. Lengths of setae: vi 64, si 105, se 90, c1 60, c2 84, d1 69, d2 63, e1 18 , e2 42, 2 a 100, 3a 90, 4a 30. MALE ( Fig. 28 ). Subcapitular setae m membranous with 2 tines. Genital cone slightly elongated, length/width ratio 1.7–1.8:1, with straight slanting lateral margins. Bases of setae vi situated anterior to setae ps2 . Setae f1 only slightly shorter than e2 . Posterior end of opisthosoma with tubercles dorsally and without tubercles ventrally. Setae 2b whip-like, much longer than 2a and 3a . Trochanter I with ventral projection, without tubercles. Measurements of holotype ( Fain & Lukoschus 1977 ): body, including gnathosoma, 345 long, 230 maximum wide. Aedeagus 125 long. Lengths of setae: si 46, se 105, c2 105, e1 57 , e2 42 , f1 39. This species is known only from the type host from France , Holland , Belgium ( Fain & Lukoschus 1977 ), Poland ( Haitlinger 1988 ), and Russia (various localities) ( Bochkov 1995 ).
