Material.
Two specimens found in mushrooms growing on tree trunks at Gosu-ri, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do,
September 22, 2013
.
This species has previously been reported from five European countries since the original description from the
United Kingdom
and
Austria
by Bryce (1915) (
Donner 1965
). The present study is the first one to record the species outside Europe.
The characteristics and body sizes of the Korean specimens agree closely with those of the
type
specimens, except that the corona is as wide as the cingulum pad. This species can be easily diagnosed by its long dorsal antenna, thick and wavy rim of the upper lip, and trochal discs with squarish anterolateral margins.
Measurements.
Corona width 35 µm. Collar width 36 µm.
