Diagnosis.
Adult (
Figs 1C
,
21D
). Wingspan 14.0−
17.5 mm
. It is a large and slender moth with round forewing apex. The wing markings are unique in the genus as three transverse streaks are obliquely running from dorsum toward costa. The male genitalia (
Fig. 45B
) are differentiated from its allies by the large ovate anellus lobe bearing a spine-like apical bristle.
Variations.
The oblique streak near the forewing base is short and almost reached the fold in the
holotype
whereas the streak is much longer and meets the costal band in
two males
from
China
.
Also
, the
Chinese
specimens have the forewing apex tinged with rosy pink.
In
the male genitalia, the aedeagi of
Chinese
specimens have the ventral surface projected at distal 1/3, but the projection is invisible in the
holotype
.
It
is possibly due to the different direction when mounted, but
additional specimens
need to be examined to confirm the variation of the shape of aedeagus
.
Distribution.
China
(
Xizang
),
India
.
Remarks.
This species is recorded from
China
for the first time.
