It occurs in Central Africa, from Cameroon to Central African Republic , southward to the Democratic Republic of the Congo . In Equatorial Guinea it has been recorded in Bioko at Bonyoma (at 450 m a.s.l.) and Parador (North of Musola) ( Mertens 1968 ), and in Río Muni at Cabo San Juan ( Boulenger 1905 ), Benito River ( Boulenger 1900 , 1921 ), and Monte Alén National Park ( Lasso et al. 2002 ) ( Map 17C ).
