Type data This species was described based on a single female specimen collected by the English traveler, naturalist, ornithologist and entomologist William Frederick Henry Rosenberg ( 1868–1957 ) who made collecting trips to northern South America (Günter 1912). Erroneously, Moure (2002) considered the specimen housed at NMNH a syntype .
