Comments
L. eastopi is the only species included in Laminicoccus that possesses paired conical
setae in each of the anal lobe and penultimate cerarii (C17, 18) but has multiple conical
setae in each of the anterior cerarii. All cerarii are situated on welldefined sclerotized areas. In other species of Laminicoccus , the anal lobe and penultimate cerarii each contain multiple conical setae. Furthermore, L. eastopi possesses a quadrate circulus not divided by the intersegmental line, and has a combination of oralcollar and oralrim tubular ducts on the venter only, and these ducts are absent entirely from the dorsum; multilocular disc pores are also absent.
Distribution NEW ZEALAND , Rocklands, on Cyathodes colensoi (Epacridaceae) , Chlorochloa rubra (Poaceae) and Anthoxanthum odoratus (Poaceae) .
