Each forewing has a jugal lobe and in each hind wing a small cluster of stout setae immediately basal to the humeral vein. A forewing-hind wing coupling system is absent. The forewing anal cell ( ac ) is large and roughly triangular distally, with A1+2+3 diverging from the ambient vein ( av ) basally and converging distally to an insertion on av . Cu2 terminates on A1+2+3 at the intersection of A1+2+3 on av . Compound eyes of the adult of both sexes are glabrous. The female has flattened middle tarsi. Description. Large to very large ( fwl : 9.2–20.5 mm ) hydropsychids with mottled forewings, irregular hyaline maculations on light fuscous to light yellow background; forewings each with forks I–V present, forks I, II, V stalked to approximately half distance from its origin to wing margin; hind wings each with forks I, II, III, and V, fork IV absent, all forks stalked; forewing discoidal and medial cells present; discoidal and thyridial nygmata present; thyridial cell elongate-triangular; crossvein r-m present, attached to base of fork II and slightly distal to insertion of m-cu on M; discoidal cell half as long as medial cell.
