Remarks.
In terms of the structure of the hypopygial anal point, which bears a longitudinal bar but no crests or spinulae, as well as the shape of hypopygial volsellae and the body colouration,
Cladotanytarsus ecristatus
is one of the most peculiar species within the genus. All known records come from the Atlas Mountains (
Reiss 1991
).
