Russia
) for the first time.
NOTES.
Mycodrosophila
poecilogastra
is a fungivorous species which could be found on various mushrooms but especially on bracket fungi. Probably, new investigations of
Diptera
feeding on mushrooms could help us the better understanding the geographic distribution of several fungivorous species. Up to date 29 species in seven genera of
Drosophilidae
were known from
Tuva
(
Gornostaev
& Kulikov, 2019). With this new record a total checklist of drosophilids of
Tuva
consists of 30 species in eight genera. Amazingly, we also found
M.
poecilogastra
in
Moscow
, far away from the forests of North Caucasus in European
Russia
.
The fauna of
Drosophilidae
of
Moscow
parks apparently consists of about 40 species and should be investigated more carefully.
