Representatives of this genus are not very abundant in Kokolopori. Four species were recorded, mostly in and around villages in open habitats and/or farmbush and secondary forest. Only
P. aequiplicata
was mostly found in primary forest. Records of all four species represent significant geographic range extensions. Taxonomically, there is a great deal of confusion around the Congolian species as discussed below.
