Paratype : CHINA : 1 ♂ : same data as the holotype, ( SNUC ) . Diagnosis of male. Length over 3.0 mm; antennomeres IX–XI strongly modified, antennomere IX with disclike protuberance at apical third, X shallowly concave in basal half, XI strongly concave on mesal surface; metaventral processes short; protibia with blunt apical tubercle; mesotrochanter with small, acute ventral spine; metacoxa with roundly triangular ventral projection; metatrochanter with large, acute ventral spine; aedeagus strongly asymmetric, with broad median lobe and short parameres. Description. Male ( Fig. 13A ). Length 3.17–3.30 mm . Head about as long as wide, HL 0.60–0.62 mm , HW 0.59–0.60 mm ; eyes prominent, each composed of about 38 facets. Antenna with scape about 4.3 times as long as wide, antennomeres II–VIII each strongly to slightly elongate, antennomere IX ( Fig. 14A ) much longer than wide, with disc-like protuberance at apical third, antennomere X shallowly concave at basal half, antennomere XI deeply concave on mesal surface. Pronotum ( Fig. 14B ) about as long as wide, PL 0.59–0.60 mm , PW 0.58–0.59 mm , sides slightly angulate at apical third. Elytra much broader than long, EL 0.88–0.91 mm , EW 1.13–1.15 mm . Metaventral processes ( Fig. 14C ) short, slightly bifurcate apically in lateral view. Protrochanter and profemur ( Fig. 14D ) simple; protibia ( Fig. 14E ) with blunt tubercle at apex; mesotrochanter ( Fig. 14F ) with small, acute ventral spine, mesofemur simple; metacoxa ( Fig. 14G ) with roundly triangular ventral projection, metatrochanter with large, acute ventral spine. Abdomen broad at base and narrowed posteriorly, AL 1.10–1.17 mm , AW 1.10–1.13 mm ; tergite IV longest, about twice as long as tergite V; sternite IX as in Fig. 14H . Length of aedeagus ( Fig. 14 I–K) 0.49 mm ; median lobe asymmetric, broad apically; parameres shorter than median lobe, roundly narrowed apically. FIGURE 13 . Dorsal habitus of Labomimus males. A. Scale bar: A, B, D, F, G = 0.3 mm; C, I, J, K = 0.2 mm; H = 0.1 mm; E = 0.05 mm. Female. Unknown. Distribution. China : Guizhou . Etymology. The new species is named after the type locality, i.e. , Maolan Nature Reserve. Comparative notes. The new species is placed near L. bannaus Yin & Li, 2013 from Yunnan , sharing with it a concaved mesal surface of the antennomere IX, and an apically broadened median lobe of the aedeagus. These two species can be separated by the much more elongate antennae, the different modifications of the antennomeres XI– XI, the much larger and apically acute spine of the mesotrochanter, and the different configration of the aedeagus of L . maolan sp. nov. .
