This new species is diagnostic by the forewing having a single fascia. It can be easily separated from other species of the unistriatella -group by having a short sub-ovate valva produced to a large dorsal process and a smaller ventral process. Description. Labial palpus with second segment brown, paler on inside; third segment white except black distally. Antenna blackish brown on ventral surface; scape and basal several flagellomeres yellowish white on dorsal surface, remaining flagellomeres yellowish white ringed with black. Thorax and tegula brown to blackish brown. Forewing yellowish brown, with black and grey scales on distal 1/3; white fascia from beyond basal 1/3 of costal margin obliquely outward to basal 2/3 of dorsum, edged with black scales, widened anteriorly; cilia grey except orange yellow around apex. Hindwing and cilia grey. Male genitalia ( Fig. 13 ). Uncus separated, linked by a slender band at base; lateral arm slender, curved inward, rounded at apex. Gnathos reduced. Tegumen sub-quadrate, slightly produced anterolaterally. Valva very short, subovate, with a large ovate plate distally; apex wide, produced to a dorsal and a ventral processes: dorsal process large, lanceolate, setose; ventral process smaller, heavily sclerotized, setose, wide at base, narrowed to apex, ventrally with a distinct long spine near base and a denticle at apex; costa narrow, reaching dorsal lobe; sacculus narrow, reaching base of ventrodistal process. Juxta a sclerotized plate, broad, straight on posterior margin; basal lobe slender. Saccus short, inverted triangular. Aedeagus longer than valva, with small sclerites distally; cornutus short, thumb-shaped. Female unknown. Distribution. Laos ( Bolikhamsai ). Etymology. The epithet of this new species is from the type locality, Bolikhamsai , Laos .
