Munidopsis bermudezi
has been reported from the Caribbean to the Middle Atlantic Bight in depths of
2434 to 4064 m

). Five specimens were in the collections: two males (CW between 15.0 mm and
19.4 mm
), two non-ovigerous females and one ovigerous female (CW from
15.4 to 22.1 mm
). These specimens were from the Caribbean and the Gulf of
Mexico
in depths of
3200 to 3541 m
and were collected in July and November. Fecundity of
75 eggs
on a 27.0 mm (CW) specimen, with average egg size of
2.5 mm
has been reported (
Chace 1942
).
